As much as I love a garden, ivy is one of the few things I can grow successfully! Sure, it can be a nuisance. It spreads like Duke's Mayonnaise and will swallow the boxwoods, the edging and the Edsel Ford on blocks in the backyard if you don't beat it back with the loppers in a timely manner.
It wanders where it will, a lot like my thoughts and opinions. It's hardy and multi-directional and softens a concrete bench into a place where ideas can set a spell, and grow towards the light.
Ivy is evergreen throughout the southern seasons. It wraps around and holds tight like a mother's love, so I will let it twist and twine around the ideas planted in my mind-garden and shade the path in cool green. - Jennifer, 12/05/17
